Who am I?

Hello, my name is Paige Amador! I’m a Los Angeles native, a total beach bum, avid hiker and love my puppy Mia more than anything. I’ve always had a deep interest in movement, wellness and living a healthy lifestyle. In 2017, I went through a year long Classical Pilates Training at The Pilates Institute of Southern California. I’ve been teaching full time ever since. I have a no pain, no pain mindset and like to focus my teaching on functional movements that will benefit my clients outside of the studio. After suffering various guts issues and anxiety for many years, I decided to go back to school to become a Holistic Health Coach. In 2023, I went through a year long program at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I now combine my love for movement and Pilates with Health Coaching. I offer private in person training at Pilatesology Studio is Hermosa Beach, CA and virtual training over Zoom. What is Pilates?

The Pilates Method is a “Name Brand” of exercises and movement based on the philosophies of Joseph H Pilates, that hugely emphasizes the use of your body as your powerhouse. Joseph Pilates created his own set of exercises called Contrology, defined as the “complete coordination of the body, mind, and spirit." After being such a sickly kid, Joseph wanted to create a form of movement to help those who are injured, weak, and sick. He created machines and apparatuses that act as beds and chairs so it is easily accessible for anyone at any age. These machines and apparatuses are made to strengthen and rehabilitate the body.
